I Didn’t Think God Was Listening…

For the longest time, I felt unseen and unheard—like my thoughts and feelings didn’t matter. I wondered if God was even listening. Anxiety told me I was wasting His time. Depression told me I didn’t belong. But then I started journaling my prayers, and everything changed.

Writing helped me process my emotions, see God’s hand in my life, and find healing in His presence. Psalm 147:3 says, ‘He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.’ And I’ve experienced that healing firsthand.

If you’ve ever felt unheard, I want to encourage you—start writing. Your words matter to God, and He is always listening.

✨ Have you ever journaled your prayers? How has it helped you in your faith? Let’s talk in the comments! ⬇️💬

Journaling can be an incredibly therapeutic outlet, providing a space to express emotions, fears, and hopes. It allows one to articulate complex feelings, which can often be difficult to share with others. By writing down prayers and reflections, individuals can reflect on how God might be working in their lives, even in moments of despair. According to many spiritual guides, including Psalm 147:3, God offers healing to the brokenhearted. This truth is vital for those feeling the weight of anxiety or depression. Journaling not only serves as a channel for self-reflection but also establishes a dialogue with God. Each entry becomes an opportunity to feel His presence and reassurance. If you find yourself struggling with feelings of isolation or insignificance in your faith journey, consider starting a journal. Write without fear of judgment, allow your thoughts to flow freely, and witness how this practice can foster a deeper sense of connection with your beliefs and with God. Remember, your words hold significance, and through this journey of writing, healing is possible.

Journaling is a wonderful outlet for emotions and especially spiritual matters. Sometimes it helps to see how dramatic you are being toward yourself.
