why i’m taking an IG break…

is anyone else tired of the negativity online? i love how positive this app is compared to instagram. i used to find myself constantly comparing myself to other people and consumed in low self esteem. i feel way more inspired and uplifted here! anyone else feel this way?

it’s time to love ourselves and stop comparing to random people on the internet 🫶🏻 i may go back to check on the people i know when i’m ready, but it seems like such a waste of time

... Read moreThe impact of social media on mental health has become a hot topic, especially as many users report feelings of anxiety and low self-esteem from constant comparisons. Instagram, with its emphasis on curated lifestyles, can often lead to such feelings. In contrast, apps that promote authenticity and a positive community experience, like Lemon8, help individuals celebrate their unique journeys without the weight of competition. This shift towards vulnerability and genuine connections allows users to prioritize their mental well-being. By taking a break from platforms that don't serve us, we not only give ourselves the space to recharge but also encourage others to embrace their true selves. Prioritizing self-love and understanding the psychology behind social media usage are essential steps in building a healthier online environment. Whether it's through engaging in positive forums or sharing real-life experiences, let's cultivate spaces that uplift rather than diminish our self-worth. Remember, your journey is valid, and embracing vulnerability truly empowers us all.

✨Am I taking God’s job??✨
As women we tend to take God’s job when it comes to our men. (Husbands, boyfriends, and partners) This responsibility gets so heavy that we break down and surrender to God, build back up, then take the responsibility back! It’s an ongoing cycle. That’s why we need to know what’s our job, what’s not

pros and cons of note-taking on paper vs iPad
📝 Before I had an iPad, I was pretty fine note-taking on paper, until I got to college where every information thrown at me at an unimaginable speed. I resorted to bringing my laptop to take notes in class to make sure I don’t miss out on anything, and then hand-write (rewrite) the typed notes afte

Why Taking Time Apart Helped My Relationship
My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 2 years. However, in the summer of 2022, we broke up. For five months. Our relationship wasn’t very healthy at that time. We lived together, spent almost all of our time with each other, and didn’t make time for ourselves, our friends, or the things

What does “taking a break” in a relationship mean
heard it used a lot lately, but I'm not sure I completely understand what it means. To me, it seems like a way to pause things without fully ending them. Like hitting the pause button on a movie. But is it really that simple? Does it mean you're still exclusive? Can you see other people?
