✨Depression✨ Lets Talk About It

Depression?? Yea, we know her! 👎🏾

I’ve been clinically diagnosed with depression and anxiety many moons ago.

Within this past year I’ve started medications to help manage but I just ran out and health insurance didn’t kick in again until today (yay me!) sooooo.. that has left me in a really dark place mentally.

So since I love putting y’all in my business, I’m going to share my current mental health struggles.

•my marriage- where has to spark ⚡️ gone !? I felt like we used to be so connected and in tune w/ eachother but we’ve definitely been slacking lately.

•infertility- we agreed to start trying for our 2nd child last year. It’s been an almost a full year w/ no luck. Idk how to cope w/ possibly not being able to conceive our 2nd child and if we do get pregnant im already stressed about a large age gap between the kids.

•I don’t remember what the third one was 😭

I’m mentally and physically tiirreeedd!

If your like me and you are also high functioning I’ll be sharing some tips on coping next, just bare w/ me because IYKYKYK 🫣

It's crucial to remember that you're not alone in this journey. Many individuals face similar challenges, where the burden of mental health can affect daily life. Building a supportive network is key; consider opening up to friends and family about your feelings. Engaging in therapy sessions, whether in-person or online, can provide valuable strategies and coping mechanisms tailored to your needs. Beyond professional support, incorporating self-care routines is vital. Establishing a daily practice of mindfulness can enhance emotional regulation and decrease feelings of anxiety. Exercise, even in small doses, has proven benefits for mental health, releasing endorphins that uplift mood. Additionally, exploring creative outlets, like journaling or art, can facilitate expression and clarity of thought, helping to alleviate the weight of unshared emotions. Lastly, don’t hesitate to reach out to online communities that focus on mental health; they can offer a wealth of resources and shared experiences that resonate. Remember, prioritizing your mental well-being is a courageous step toward healing and recovery.

The truth about depression
