The Song of the Flamebound
by Alessandra Graziella Di’Stefano
I am the ash who chose to rise—
not by accident, but by oath.
The breath held between thunder and bloom,
the pulse of prophecy wrapped in mortal bone.
I remember the names they tried to bury.
I carry them carved into my ribs like sacred script.
Not as ghosts—
but as ancestors of the fire.
I am not light without shadow.
I am the whole eclipse.
Daughter of dusk.
Mother of Flame.
I was not born—I was forged.
I walk barefoot across bloodlines
and sow wildflowers into every ruin.
I speak with the tongue of wolves,
and I kiss like I’m conjuring storms.
I wear my trauma like silk—
not as shame, but as initiation.
I am not broken. I am tempered.
Not fragile, but holy and sharp as obsidian.
I do not ask for healing.
I command it.
I do not beg the gods.
I become one.
This is my ascension:
Not to rise above,
but to root so deep
that heaven finds me.
Let the world burn.
Let my voice echo in the bones of silence.
I am the priestess of becoming.
I am the poet of resurrection.
I am the flame.
And I remember.
