Earthquakes often! Are you prepared to be safe?

Earthquake news is more common today, so I would like to invite everyone to get ready before it happens.

1. Before the incident (Prepare):

- Arrangement of emergency bags: dry food, drinking water, flashlights, backup batteries and essential medicines

- Secure heavy furniture such as cabinets or shelves to the wall to prevent falling over.

- Rehearse the escape plan and determine the reunion point with the family.

- At the time of the incident (squat, cover, seize):

Stay in the building: Keep "crouching" under a strong table, "cover" the head, and "hold" the table legs tight, avoid windows, glass, or high cabinets. Do not use elevators.

Stay Out of the Building: Stay in the Relief, Away from Power Poles, Billboards, or Tall Buildings

Stay in the car: Stop the car in a safe place, away from a bridge, big tree, or light pole, and stay in the car until the vibration stops.

2. After the incident:

Check for home damage, especially gas and electrical systems. If smelling gas, open the window door immediately and do not ignite or use the light switch.

Always be careful of the aftershocks that may follow.

3. How to set up a mobile phone to warn

- For Android (Earthquake Alerts):

Go to Settings > Location > Advanced > Earthquake Alerts and activate (or search the "Safety and Emergency" menu on some models).

- For Cell Broadcast:

Be sure to update the operating system (iOS / Android) to the latest version to receive the "TH-ALERT" disaster alert message directly from the public sector.
