For those days when I want something a bit different or need extra security, a braided updo is fantastic. You can braid sections of your hair and then pin them up securely. Sometimes I'll do a high ponytail with a thick braid wrapped around the base and then a long, thick braid extending down – it's a super chic look that's also incredibly practical. The key is to use plenty of bobby pins and a good hairspray to keep everything locked in place. Beyond just the style, a few quick tips for making these volleyball hairstyles work for you: always start with clean, detangled hair. Use good quality hair ties that won't snap or pull your hair. And don't be afraid to practice! The more you do these styles, the faster and easier they become.
