Colorado: pics and review
Hi all,
I’m new to this platform, hoping to keep this as a kind of art and travel blog!
I’m a traveling artist based out of NJ, I’ve been across the US three times roadtripping with my boyfriend. Currently, we are on a two month roadtrip for art and photography.
These are some of my favorite pics, along with a review of our time in Colorado!
Review:
Unbeatable views and some unbelievable prices.
Unfortunately, while it’s one of the most beautiful states I’ve been to, it has a fee for almost every hike/experience. This might not be as much of a problem for residents who already have state park permits, but as a tourist expect to pay 5$-30$ for most activities. Towns like aspen are lovely to visit but expensive to be in. Towns like Basalt and woodycreek are much more affordable.
Rocky Mountain national park was definitely a highlight of our trip. Friendly park service, and tons of wildlife. Saw more moose in the park than I’ve ever seen in my life.
Food was fantastic everywhere we went, especially Estes park outside of Rocky Mountain NP.
Colorado is definitely work a visit, but expect some high prices and fees!
Colorado is renowned for its dramatic landscapes and outdoor adventures, making it a top destination for travelers. In addition to the stunning Rocky Mountain National Park, visitors can explore Aspen's ski resorts, known for their luxury experiences but high costs. For a more affordable visit, towns like Basalt and Woody Creek provide a glimpse into the local culture without breaking the bank. The diverse flora and fauna, including an abundance of moose, enrich the outdoor experience, appealing not just to photographers and artists but to anyone seeking nature's beauty. Food enthusiasts will delight in the unique culinary offerings throughout Colorado, particularly in places like Estes Park, where visitors can savor local delicacies after a day of exploration. While Colorado is undoubtedly worth the visit, travelers should budget for entrance fees and activity costs, which can range from $5 to $30, especially within state parks and recreational areas. To enhance your trip, consider timing your visits to avoid peak seasons, allowing for a more tranquil experience in nature.
