💭 First before I say anything else I want to say this book exceeded my expectations, and was good. Now I am super picky when it comes to shifter books. Especially with mate bonds. I have been let down by so many of them. Generally unless they have other paranormal beings I avoid them. Now, this being said this author has another series I adored, so naturally when she announced a new series I was all in. Even if it was shifters. I can say she definitely didnt let me down. The book had me hooked from the beginning. The story is complex, and so is the magic system. Which is so appreciated. There wasnt the bing, bang, boom and your my mate nonsense. No, trust me. There is A LOT going on, and it’s got layers upon layers. This is an adult romance, but it is not spicy. It has the slow burn, and the tension but it safe for younger readers if need be. I really like the characters, and I am eager to see where the next book goes if Im honest. I feel like we are just starting to see the deeper story thats going to span within the series, and I am so intrigued. Seriously who doesn’t love a plot within a book, on top of a plot that spans across a series too? Plus new MCs in each book? Yes Please!
