If there’s one thing yoga has taught me on my journey over the last few years - it’s to take a breath before reacting. 🌱
I recently was having the worst week, one thing after another. I subbed a night time yoga class, left feeling great thinking my mood was about to change - but nope. Surprise lol got in my car and it wouldn’t start. 😅
Normal me a year ago would have been freaking out, crying, probs having a panic attack. But what did I do this time? Took a deep breathe and GIGGLED?! Idk who I am anymore lol. Something that would have sent me into an absolute spiral a year ago made me straight up chuckle and think well what are we gonna do? 🧘🏼♀️
Something I’ve emphasized in my mindset lately has been “problem solving over panicking” and that’s exactly what I did 🥰
So I celebrated by treating myself to a new tattoo 😋
Moral of the story - spend the time and pour into yourself. No matter what that journey may look like for you, learn how to control the way you respond to situations on a daily basis no matter how difficult they are.

The practice teaches us to pause, take a breath, and respond consciously instead of reacting impulsively. This approach can transform how we handle everyday challenges, such as unexpected setbacks like a car not starting or a tough week.
Incorporating techniques like deep breathing and mindful awareness helps us regulate our emotions and maintain composure. Such skills prevent anxiety and panic attacks, enabling us to focus on practical solutions instead of becoming overwhelmed. This mental shift – prioritizing problem solving over panicking – fosters growth and strengthens mental wellbeing.
