Chinese Literature. Read, Fire in the Heart Burns | Hope, Dream, Battle

It's all about the city situation, reborn in the fire, a book of short stories from nine Chinese writers that each reflect the transition period of the early 20th century mainland after the end of the dynasty and into the "modern era."

It sounds like nothing, but it's when society is going through a lot of turmoil and a big adjustment in China, the kind that if you look at China now, you can't imagine what it's been through and what it's lost.

Just saying that it's from a resolution is enough to guarantee quality, and the more you say that it's written by China's foremost writers, it's almost out of concern, and the rest is just flowing literally and winning translation, which is the best, because it uses nine translators, nine stories.

Everything is the same way: it reflects society, culture, times, and the external and internal turmoil of people.

- Xiaoxiao / A girl who has been assigned a role since childhood according to old customs.

- Heirs / tragedies to the loneliness of people who adhere to traditional values.

- Soul Repeater / The value and question of old science as a subject or a tool of power.

- Grief lives alone (Ping Xin) / Youth who must live under the system. Bring isolation.

- The image of fighting self-vulnerability that allows for new thinking.

- Dogs / Compare feelings of shame for the abuse of dignity in Chinese society.

- The Whippiness of the Lin Family Store / The Story of Business in the Age Against Foreign Goods Affecting Rural Life

- Nourishment of Guan Guan / Differences between classes

- Miss Sophia's Daily Record / Women's Declaration of Independence Records. That challenges traditional values about love and marriage.

We think that each short story presents a good picture of the lives of the people of different periods of China, both in terms of thought, culture and society, allowing the reader (especially later ones) to understand the feelings and thoughts of the people of that era through reflection in words and actions.

Above anything else, every story reflects humanity, hope, dream, and struggle in people's daily lives.

The translation is well done, conveys the magnificence of the Chinese language, and the depth of the content comes out well. Some language stories are very prominent, very slippery, some are okay.

Anyone interested in one-volume Chinese literature but various writing styles and a variety of content. Recommended
