When we think of the Tuk Tuk (okay, some people may think of Miss Univer Thailand 2015), we think of the flamboyance, the speed, the experience (and sometimes the antiquity) that Ul Pride is trying to create the Ihiva universe as a total of 14 short stories, both funny and satirical, Leela Guan, read and read.

ถ้าใครเสิร์ชชื่อ “ภาคภูมิ จงมั่นวัฒนา” หรือ “น้อง cherry tuktuk” แล้วลังเลว่า TUKTUK Drivers เป็นแนวไหนกันแน่ เราอยากเล่ามุมที่ช่วยตัดสินใจได้ไวขึ้นค่ะ (แบบไม่สปอยล์หนัก) อย่างแรกที่สัมผัสได้เลยคือ “โทน” ของเล่มนี้เป็นเรื่องสั้นอิหยังวะ/absurd ที่ตั้งใจให้คนอ่านขำแบบหน้าตาย และขำแบบแอบเจ็บ เพราะมันเสียดสีพฤติกรรมมนุษย์อยู่ตลอด แต่ไม่ได้เทศนา ตลกมาก่อนแล้วค่อยทิ้งคำถามไว้ทีหลัง จุดเด่นคืออ่านง่าย ไหลลื่น แต่ละเรื่องเหมือนขับรถตุ๊กตุ๊กซิ่งๆ พาเราเลี้ยวออกนอกตรรกะเป็นพักๆ แล้วก็หักมุมแบบกวนๆ เรื่องที่หลายคนถามถึงอย่าง “น้อง cherry tuktuk” (ถ้าเจอผ่านๆ ในโซเชียลอาจนึกว่าเป็นคอนเทนต์น่ารัก) พอมาอยู่ในจักรวาลนี้มันจะกลายเป็นส่วนผสมของความน่ารักกับความปั่นที่ทำให้เราเผลอคิดต่อว่า ทำไมคนเราถึงชอบอินกับอะไรแปลกๆ และทำไมเรื่องเล็กๆ ถึงสะท้อนความรู้สึกใหญ่ๆ ได้ ซึ่งนี่เป็นสไตล์ที่เราว่าภาคภูมิ จงมั่นวัฒนาเก่งมาก: เอาของใกล้ตัว/วัฒนธรรมอย่าง “รถตุ๊กตุ๊ก” มาขยายจนเป็นเรื่องเล่าระดับจักรวาลได้จริง ถ้าถามว่าเหมาะกับใคร เราว่าเหมาะกับคนที่ - เบื่อพล็อตตรงๆ อยากอ่านอะไรที่ “ไม่สมเหตุสมผลแบบตั้งใจ” - ชอบเรื่องสั้นที่จบไว แต่มีรสเสียดสีติดปาก - อยากได้เล่มคลายเครียด อ่านคั่นเวลารถติด/ก่อนนอน (แต่ระวังเพลินเกิน) อีกอย่างที่เราชอบคือในเล่มจะมีคำอังกฤษแทรกเป็นระยะๆ ไม่ได้ยากจนอ่านไม่รู้เรื่อง แต่ทำให้บรรยากาศมันกวนและร่วมสมัยขึ้น ใครชอบตามเก็บศัพท์ก็สนุกเพิ่ม แต่ถ้าไม่ตามก็อ่านรู้เรื่องอยู่ดี ทริคส่วนตัวตอนอ่าน: เราอ่านทีละ 1–2 เรื่องแล้วพัก เพราะบางเรื่องมันเหมือนมุกแห้งที่ต้องมีจังหวะให้ตกตะกอน จะยิ่งขำ (และยิ่งเจ็บ) มากกว่าอ่านรวดเดียวทั้งหมด และถ้าใครกำลังเลือกซื้อ เรามองว่าเล่มนี้คุ้มตรงที่ได้ 14 เรื่องสั้นหลากรส—บางเรื่องขำชัด บางเรื่องจะขำแบบ “เอ๊ะ ทำไมมันจริง” สรุปสำหรับเรา TUKTUK Drivers คือเล่มที่เหมาะกับการเปิดโลกเรื่องสั้นแนวอิหยังวะของภาคภูมิ จงมั่นวัฒนา อ่านเพลิน คลายเครียด และทิ้งประโยคให้คิดต่อเรื่องการ “ฟังหัวใจคนอื่น” แบบไม่ต้องทำหน้าจริงจังเลย
