The Faces Behind The Tiny Home! Let’s Be Friends!
I somehow just realized that I haven’t introduced myself! These pictures are the faces behind the tiny home! I’m Ashley and I’m a dog mom of 4 pups who is getting ready to turn the big 4-0 this year and I somehow still don’t really know what I want to be when I grow up. By day I work as an Executive Assistant to the owner of a construction company, but by night I’m a lover of all things creative. You’ll usually find me with no makeup, in my pjs, snuggled up with a dog or 4 and scouring the internet for design ideas and ways to make life a little prettier.
The handsome guy in the pictures is my husband AJ. We are approaching 15 years together this August and he’s the one that makes all of my dreams come true! He cheers me on with every crazy idea, and after some justified eye rolling he usually gets out his tools and helps me make everything a reality! He’s the best… and also camera shy so enjoy the pics when they come 😂
This page was born out of a lot of self searching. I think as women sometimes we tend not to believe in ourselves. We give ourselves a million reasons why we can’t make our dreams come true, and sometimes that all gets really heavy, ya know? This year I decided I’m done with that. No more worrying about what everyone else thinks or being afraid to share the things that I love! No more telling myself that I can’t make anything out of my passion! I remember as a kid searching for the perfect cat themed comforter (😂) in my bedroom and rearranging hand me down furniture and thinking… man I love this! Everyone has always told me I need to do something with design and I’ve laughed it off thinking….meh, other people are so much better! I don’t have a big budget, I don’t have a massive house, but I do have a ton of passion to make my surroundings beautiful and peaceful in a world where sometimes peacefulness feels like a rarity.
So what are you going to find here? To be honest? A little bit of everything I love! Beautiful spaces mean something different to every single one of us and I hope to share things that ignite joy in anyone who comes across this page whether your budget is $5 or $5 bajillion. You’ll come along as we spruce up our new tiny home and the property we built it on. You’ll join us as we start making our builder grade home feel more custom with inexpensive DIY projects. Some days it will be home stuff, some days you’ll see our tiny house. Some days it’ll be fake nails and dog birthday parties, but it’ll always be me!
