2026 Life Update (that no one asked for yes)

it has been such a long time since I last posted! actually have a few drafts and things that I wanted to post but I was a bit busy with life and also wanted a little more time to myself instead of spending so much time online

💼 things have been going well recently! (hope I don’t jinx this..) joined my current company in May 2025 after being unemployed for almost a year, and I got promoted after 6 months. I think things are going well, career-wise. I do still want to work overseas and will have that as my end-goal - meanwhile if anyone is hiring outside of Singapore for sales roles, please dm me!

🏋🏽‍♀️ personal life - I am still enjoying my workouts, found a new love for chair and tower pilates (can’t go back to reformer anymore), and a new appreciation for cardio workouts at the gym. also picked up some new books to read, and started on Hogwarts Legacy on the switch because it was on sale! and yes I’m a loser using Switch 1 and can’t play Pokopia

💕 love life - no comment haha

Considering we are only in Q1 of 2026 (only? where did all the time go…), I’m quite happy with how it’s going so far.

I may be posting some other stuff soon (workouts/workout clothes, pilates studio, books I read, travels, snowboarding etc) - but only if I have time and if I feel like it I suppose

📍 Next goal - to relocate for work!

if anyone wants to just chitchat, feel free to leave a comment or dm too.

hope that 2026 will be good for everyone! if it’s not that great so far, there is plenty of time for things to change ✨

... Read moreSharing my journey of balancing career ambitions and personal wellness has been quite revealing. After nearly a year of unemployment until May 2025, securing a position and then earning a promotion within six months really boosted my confidence and motivation. For those navigating career transitions, patience and continuous growth are key. On the fitness front, chair and tower pilates have transformed my routines. Unlike reformer pilates, these forms offer more flexibility and challenge, especially when paired with cardio sessions at the gym. I’ve found this combo not only builds strength but also keeps workouts engaging and fun, something I highly recommend to anyone looking to mix up their fitness regimen. Gaming is another guilty pleasure—starting Hogwarts Legacy on an older Switch model on sale proved it’s never too late to enjoy exciting new worlds and unwind after work. Balancing my downtime with reading has also been essential for mental refreshment. Looking ahead, my goal to relocate for work is driving my plans. If you’re also aiming for an overseas career move, networking and staying open to opportunities can make all the difference. Life may be unpredictable, but embracing change has already made 2026 a rewarding year for me. To anyone feeling stuck or unsure, remember there’s always time to pivot and find your own path. Let’s keep the conversation going—sharing real experiences helps us all grow.

Hey, just want to ask u for some advice about careers. I do have 3 years of working experience in logistics then took a career break and trying to pivot into accounting industry. So I attended some courses about accounting and do the internship. Do u think it is possible? I did screwed up on my internship as an external auditor. I feel like giving up on accounting industry after looking at the job market.
