Struggle Bus Friday
Not every day is going to be a good training day. Today most of my lifts felt like trash, my body tired, and I couldn’t get my head in the game. That’s OK though. I still showed up, I still pushed myself to what I could handle, and I still look forward to training Monday.

Fitness journeys are rarely linear; everyone faces challenges and setbacks. Even professional athletes have days when their workouts don't go as planned. Recognizing that struggle is a part of training helps cultivate resilience and determination. It's essential to listen to your body, allowing for recovery when needed, while still maintaining the motivation to show up. On tough days, it can be helpful to set smaller, achievable goals rather than focusing on the long-term picture. This shift in mindset allows for celebrating even minor victories, reinforcing positive behavior. Remember to keep a training journal — documenting your feelings and progress can provide insights into your physical and mental states, allowing for adjustments in your routine. Share your experiences with a community, online or in-person, to gain support and encouragement from others going through similar struggles. As you push through these moments, you’ll strengthen not only your body but also your mental fortitude, setting the stage for even greater achievements ahead.
