Come with Me to an IRL Lemon8 Event
This past Friday, Lemon8 hosted an IRL panel discussion at their Headquarters in Time’s Square, NYC.
There were about 30 other creators here, and it was so nice to meet and talk to them! I love any type of event that brings creators together like this.
The TikTok office is so cute! They had Lemon8 plushies everywhere.
The panel discussion was so inspiring. Women who fearlessly pursue their dreams and never give up, even in the face of adversity, are so powerful!!
A couple pieces of advice that really stood out to me:
One woman from Korea, who moved here in the 90s told us about her experience of becoming a mom and how important it is to not let raising a child come in between your passions and career. Something we hear a lot but she also mentioned that while it is amazing to stay home and raise children, the corporate world needs women too! We can’t let men take over. The world needs our voices.
Second piece of advice came from the inspiring Alexa King. Her advice was simple but it really hit home for me: trust yourself. People may give their advice and thoughts on what’s best for you but to be able to listen to and trust your own inner voice is definitely a super power.
