Target Book Haul: 3 New-Reads!

I'm still buzzing from my latest Target book haul, especially with Jennifer Niven's Holding Up The Universe now sitting on my shelf! I've been hearing whispers about this one for a while, and after absolutely loving Niven's All the Bright Places, I just had to pick it up. The cover itself is so inviting, hinting at a story that's both deep and hopeful. What truly draws me to Holding Up The Universe is the promise of a powerful narrative centered around SELF-ACCEPTANCE and finding your place in the world. It’s about Libby Strout, who was once America's fattest teen and is now navigating high school after losing a significant amount of weight. Beyond Holding Up The Universe, this haul also brought two other thrilling additions to my reading list! For those who love a good scare, Natasha Preston's The Dare looks like it will deliver DEADLY DARES, SECRETS, BETRAYAL, and DARK TWISTS AND TURNS – everything you'd want in a gripping thriller. I'm always on the hunt for a book that keeps me guessing until the very end, and Preston is known for her nail-biting suspense. Then there's Laura Dave's The Night We Lost Him, which promises to be a captivating MYSTERY filled with FAMILY SECRETS and UNEXPECTED TWISTS. I'm a huge fan of unreliable narrators, and if this book features them, I'm already hooked! It sounds like the kind of story that will have me piecing together clues and questioning everything I think I know. So, with these three new gems, including the much-anticipated Holding Up The Universe, I'm officially declaring this a successful book hunt! Now, the big question remains: which one should I dive into first? I’m leaning towards Holding Up The Universe because of the SELF-ACCEPTANCE theme, but The Dare and The Night We Lost Him are calling to my love for suspense.
