jb supper spot @ taman sentosa

late-night food runs in JB never disappoint 🌙😮‍💨 unexpectedly found these two unassuming stalls in Sentosa Street Food 大丰美食街 that look SO clean and low-key from the outside… but the food is seriously next next next level!!!

🍜 pork soup noodles - rich broth loaded with tender minced pork, pork liver cooked just on point and all the good stuff. even my super picky boyfriend declared this his top pork soup noodle by far, that says alot 😂 (oh! and you can add egg for that egg drop you see, it’s brings so much goodness really 🤤)

🍳 duck egg char kway teow - wok hei hits you straight away. simple but done so well, with that fragrant duck egg adding extra richness and the noodles fried till slightly charred in the best way. one of those plates where you just keep eating and suddenly it’s gone 😮‍💨

honestly the kind of place you’d walk past without thinking twice, but it turned out to be such a solid find. definitely one of those supper spots i’d come back for whenever i’m in jb 🌙

Beyond the well-known spots, this tucked-away corner offers some surprisingly clean and low-key stalls that pack a powerful punch in flavor. I particularly loved the pork soup noodles here; the broth is incredibly rich and comforting, and the minced pork and pork liver are cooked impeccably. Adding an egg enhances the dish with an extra layer of goodness, perfect for anyone craving warmth and depth in their late-night meal. Another standout is the duck egg char kway teow. The wok hei—the smoky, charred aroma—is undeniable, and the use of duck egg adds a richness that really elevates this classic dish. It’s simple but expertly executed, making it one of those dishes you can’t stop eating once you start. I’ve found that these dishes, although from modest and unassuming stalls, are some of the best reflections of JB’s supper culture. The operating hours mostly cover late evenings until early mornings, catering to night owls like me who often crave delicious, satisfying food after hours. Walking along Jalan Sutera in Taman Sentosa, the atmosphere is relaxed without the tourist rush, making it a perfect spot for locals and visitors alike to enjoy authentic Malaysian flavors. For anyone planning a food trip to Johor Bahru, this destination offers a genuine local experience with food that’s both memorable and delightful. Don’t overlook these hidden gems — sometimes the best bites come from places you might initially overlook. Always bring a good appetite and an open mind, and you’ll be rewarded with maximum yum and truly unforgettable meals!
