I’ve always been sure I didn’t want kids. Since age 13. So I wasn't shy about telling my boyfriend from day one. But he thought he probably did want kids.
For a while, I worried we’d eventually outgrow each other. Not because I wasn’t honest, but because so many people assume I’ll change my mind. I never did. What changed was his perspective.
He started really thinking about what motherhood demands. The mental load, the body trauma, the way it impacts neurodivergent women like me.
