Save this for when you’re building your skincare routine!
Don’t Sleep On Cleansing ⬇️
Find a gentle cleanser with ingredients like ceramides and glycerin.
Cleanse for a minimum of 60 seconds.
Use your gentle cleanser twice in the evening for a “double cleanse.”
Vitamin C In The AM & Retinoid In The PM ⬇️
Vitamin C: Antioxidant protection & brightens. Pair with SPF = your defense duo.
Retinoid: Speeds up cell turnover, fights acne, & prevents fine lines.
SPF is everything ☀️
If you only use one product, let it be SPF. Without it, your other products can’t keep up with sun damage (aka worthless).
Find a tinted SPF that you love and use it religiously. This means every single morning and reapply at least twice throughout the day.
Piece It Together & Be Consistent
Here is a sample AM & PM routine to start you off ⬇️
AM: Vitamin C → Moisturizer →SPF
PM: Cleanse (x2) → Moisturizer →Retinoid

... Read moreBuilding an effective skincare routine involves understanding the role of each key product and how to use them properly for maximum benefits. Cleansing is the foundation — using a gentle cleanser with ingredients like ceramides and glycerin helps maintain the skin’s natural barrier while removing impurities. Performing a "double cleanse" in the evening ensures thorough removal of makeup, sunscreen, and environmental pollutants, which can otherwise clog pores and lead to breakouts.
In the morning, applying Vitamin C serum provides powerful antioxidant protection that neutralizes free radicals caused by UV exposure and pollution. This not only brightens the complexion but also enhances skin’s defense against damage. Vitamin C works best when paired with a broad-spectrum SPF, creating a synergistic defense duo to prevent premature aging and sun damage.
At night, incorporating a retinoid accelerates skin cell turnover, promotes collagen production, reduces acne, and minimizes fine lines and wrinkles. It is important to introduce retinoids gradually to avoid irritation and to apply them after cleansing and moisturizing.
SPF remains the cornerstone of any skincare regimen. Daily application of a broad-spectrum SPF protects skin from UVA and UVB rays, preventing sunburn, pigmentation, and long-term photoaging. Tinted SPFs are beneficial as they add light coverage and help even out skin tone, encouraging regular use. Reapplying sunscreen at least twice a day is critical, especially during extended sun exposure.
Consistency and patience are key. Adopting a simple routine like Vitamin C → Moisturizer → SPF in the morning, and Double Cleanse → Moisturizer → Retinoid in the evening, allows skin to gradually improve in texture, tone, and health. Listening to your skin and consulting skincare professionals when needed can further personalize your routine for the best results.
