「社会が苦手になりそう…」と感じたのは、わが家も3年生の少し前でした。2年生までは生活科の延長で何となく分かっていたのに、3年生でいきなり“覚えること”が増えて、地図記号・方位（北西/南東など）・公共施設（市役所、消防署など）がセットで出てきます。ここで「むずかしい…」となる子が多い印象です。 そこで私が意識したのは、“勉強としてやらない先取り”です。ポイントは、短時間で成功体験を積むこと。たとえば「5分でできる自学（3年生）」なら、1ページで完結するネタにすると続きます。 ・地図記号を3つだけ選んで、家の周りで見つけられそうな場所を書く（例：郵便局、病院、公園） ・今日行った場所を、方位つきで一言メモ（学校は家の北、スーパーは南西など） ・“わたしたちのまち”の単元対策として、家族の1日の移動を矢印でつなぐ（安全な道・危ない道も一言） 「小学3年生 地図記号一覧」を見せると、全部覚えさせたくなりますが、最初は3〜5個で十分でした。覚えるより“見たことがある”状態にしておくと、授業の理解が一気に楽になります。 もう1つおすすめが「昔の道具（3年生）」の入り口づくり。いきなり暗記ではなく、家でできる体験が強いです。 ・炊飯器/洗濯機/掃除機の「昔はどうしてた？」を親子で想像 ・図鑑や写真を見て、今との違いを1つだけ書く（自学にも◎） ・祖父母に聞けそうなら“昔の道具インタビュー”をメモ 市販ワーク（Z会のグレードアップ問題集など）を使う場合は、毎日やらなくてもOKで、「オールカラーのページを一緒に眺める→1問だけやる」くらいの軽さが続きました。予習というより“社会に触れておく”だけで、3年生のスタートが本当にスムーズになります。
