Filming Inside NYC’s Cutest Bookstore!

Big day! I finally got permission to film inside one of New York’s newest bookstores! Words on Warren in Tribeca!

From picture books to cozy corners (and yes, a bear tagged along 🧸), this place just might be my new happy spot. The staff were so kind and the space feels like stepping inside a story!

If you’re ever wandering through the city, trust me this one’s worth the detour. 💙✨

How many books do you actually walk out with when you visit a bookstore? Be honest. 😅

Tribeca
2025/11/3 Edited to

... Read moreYou know that feeling when you walk into a place and it just *clicks*? That’s exactly how I felt stepping into Words on Warren. My original post only scratched the surface of why this Tribeca spot has quickly become my new happy place in NYC. It’s not just a bookstore; it’s an experience, especially if you’re looking for something beyond the typical. What truly sets Words on Warren apart, and something I saw right away, is that it feels like the entire bookstore is made for kids and the kid-at-heart. Imagine a place where every corner invites discovery, especially for younger readers. The selection of picture books, chapter books, and young adult novels is thoughtfully curated, making it easy to find something special. But it’s not just about the books. The ambiance is what makes it so charming. There are designated areas that are just incredibly inviting. I gravitated towards the cozy couch almost immediately – it’s perfect for snuggling up with a new read or simply soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. It’s these little design touches that contribute to creating an environment that encourages slowing down and truly enjoying the act of browsing and reading. This kind of thoughtful book store design is what transforms a simple shop into a beloved community space. And speaking of unique touches, I was absolutely charmed by the real-life typewriter they have! It's not just a prop; you can actually use it. How cool is that? It brings a wonderful sense of nostalgia and creativity, inviting visitors to type out a quick thought, a dream, or even a confession about how many books they’re about to buy. It’s a small, interactive detail that makes the visit memorable and adds to the store's distinct personality. It’s these unexpected elements that truly make a place feel special and not just another storefront. NYC is famous for its incredible array of bookstores, each with its own character. You have the historic charm of places like Shakespeare and Co, or the specialized offerings of Koryo Books if you’re looking for international titles. But sometimes, the best bookstore in NYC isn't the biggest or the most famous; it's the one that resonates with you personally. Words on Warren, for me, is that hidden gem. It offers a fresh, modern take on what a local bookstore can be, blending a curated selection with an incredibly warm and welcoming atmosphere. For those seeking a vibrant, community-focused independent bookstore that delights both children and adults, Words on Warren truly shines. So, if you’re ever wandering through Tribeca, I highly recommend making a detour to Words on Warren. Don't be surprised if you end up leaving empty handed of anything but books – it’s nearly impossible to resist their wonderful collection. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the best discoveries are just waiting around the corner.
