Should You Choose UOL or RMIT ? 🫧🚨

The University of London (UOL) is a university based in UK 🇬🇧 and hence I would say if you come from a polytechnic background or if you do not enjoy studying, then UOL shall definitely be the last option you go for ! UOL is basically 100% exam 👩💻🧑💻🚨 based but I heard recently they made some changes so should be 10% mid-year quiz and 90% exams~ This means that once you fail, you will have to pay an additional cost 💸 to re-take the exams ! Since I did Food Science 🧪 in Poly and did not have any business background, the exam structure made me super stress 🤯 back then and this is exactly why I drop out ! Because of the stress, I broke down 😢 almost everyday, worrying that I will fail the exams and had to spend around another $2000💰 to re-take the papers!
After the first year in UOL, I left🚶♀️➡️and applied into RMIT because I was not confident in passing the exams and was not ready to go through the same thing for another 2✌️years.
The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) is based in Australia 🇦🇺and the their education structure is leaning towards the polytechnic approach ! It is mostly solo/group assignments 👭 so I would say it’s definitely better 👍 for you to make friends in RMIT ! Without friends, group project can be quite torturous ⚒️ 🔫 especially when you meet free loaders 😒 in your group ! RMIT also provides student with strong pillar of support like peer tutoring which is something I feel really helped me a lot ! As an out-going person🤪 , this is definitely a better option 🫶🏻 for me because group assignments allow me to build strong friendships 👧👦! This is also one of the bigger difference between both schools. Since UOL is mostly exam based, most people do not bother making friends 🤷♀️🤷 since everything is solo 👆work!
In general, all university have their unique structure, so just choose the best👍 that best suits your learning style ! Do not just choose the choose because it is more “reputable”! I mean yes, it should be a considering factor 🤔 but it should not be the deciding factor 🔎 ~ and... to be honest, It will not make much difference with regards to which certificate you got because they are all in general PRIVATE university certificate📄 ! It will only make an impact if you can top 🥇 your cohort because it will allow you to gain more recognition 🤘👌 ! Oh yes, lf you do not related diploma 🎩 , Do also keep a lookout 👀 at their exemption criteria because it varies in different universities. For instance, I could get a year exempted in RMIT but not in UOL, in other words, I only had to do 2✌️years in RMIT but 3👌years in UOL, so you might wanna consider 💭 this factor too when you make your choice ! ✨

One of the practical tips I'd add is to carefully check the exemption criteria if you’re entering without a related diploma. For instance, I was able to skip one year at RMIT but not at UOL. This can save you time and money in your studies. Finally, remember reputation alone isn’t everything. Both universities provide a private university certificate, so prioritize which environment reduces your stress and suits your style.
