It might seem obvious, but it's the easiest way to prevent access. To satisfy their love for running water safely, consider investing in a cat water fountain. Many cats absolutely adore these! It mimics a fresh stream, encourages hydration, and gives them that satisfying 'running water' experience without the toilet germs. You can also try supervised water play. Fill a shallow dish or even a bathtub with an inch or two of water and toss in some floating toys. My cat goes wild for ping-pong balls in the tub – it’s a great way to let them indulge their water obsession in a clean environment.
