Rose of the Day: Martha Gonzales
Today’s Rose of the Day is Martha Gonzales, a China rose bred in the 1820’s by Jean Laffay in France. In warmer climates, it can grow to 4ft tall, but in my colder winters, it stays rather small. The open flowers have a nice fragrance, and it blooms often. It’s a very cheerful little rose, and I like to have it near my door, because it makes me smile when I walk by.
