I usually start by taking the MTR to Kennedy Town Station and then use Exit C as it’s the closest to the photo spot. From there, heading left and up the stairs through a small park gives you a nice warm-up before you reach the picturesque street soccer court.
One of my favorite moments is grabbing a refreshing drink at the 7-Eleven inside the park — perfect for a quick recharge before continuing. Don’t miss checking out the two basketball courts just beyond the soccer court; it’s a lively spot where local sports enthusiasts gather, adding a dynamic vibe to your photos.
The spot is about more than just a photo; it’s a popular hangout for locals, offering a slice of everyday Hong Kong life. Just a heads-up, the area has specific opening hours from 7 am to 11 pm, so plan your visit accordingly.
If you want to explore further, the nearby Gloria Funicular route and North Point area offer fantastic additional photography opportunities with scenic urban views. I recommend combining these sites into a day trip to get the full Kennedy Town experience.
Through my visits, I’ve found that capturing photos during late morning or early evening light works best for vibrant colors and natural ambiance. Don’t forget to bring your camera or phone fully charged — you’ll want plenty of shots of this iconic spot and the lively local atmosphere around it.
