Will miss this fun pop-up library

This was a one time pop-up library at Changi Airport and they have ended in Jan 2026.

This is really a dream for all Star Wars fans out there.

NLB really did a good job on this setup and I now then realised our library has so much books about Star Wars 🤭

The detailed displays and themed book collections were thoughtfully curated, making it a captivating experience for both die-hard fans and casual readers. I particularly appreciated how the National Library Board (NLB) showcased a diverse range of Star Wars literature—from novels and comics to art books—bringing the saga’s universe to life beyond the screen. One unique aspect was the book return system designed specifically for the pop-up, where visitors were instructed to return only Star Wars books borrowed from this setup one at a time, ensuring a smooth and organized experience. This attention to detail reflected the commitment to providing a seamless visit. Though the pop-up ended in January 2026, it truly highlighted how libraries can create immersive and themed literary events that engage communities. For those who missed it, it’s a reminder to watch for future pop-ups and themed libraries, as they offer rare opportunities to discover and celebrate favorite genres or franchises in creative ways. Personally, this experience made me realize the extensive Star Wars collection available through regular library services. It inspired me to explore more of these hidden gems available in public libraries, proving that even in our digital age, libraries remain vibrant centers of culture and fandom.
