Top Favorite Place I've Visited

Let me just take a minute to RAVE about my all time favorite trip ever....Greece! 🇬🇷

Every person should have this location on their bucket list. We took a 7 day trip and for me it was just not enough. Greece has so much to offer. The people are sociable, treat tourist kindly and were always eager to help and the food...oh my....🤤🤤

Some tips:

-renting a car is not needed if staying in Athens and parking is scarce.

-like in most countries overseas do NOT flush toilet paper 😂

-English is taught in most elementary schools so most are fluent in English but learning simple Greek words such as kaliméra (good morning) will put a smile on the locals face

-Take in the local markets such as the Monastiraki market to find interesting and unique souvenirs at a good price. (go on Sunday if you can, there's more to offer)

... Read moreGreece is a treasure trove of history, stunning landscapes, and vibrant culture, making it a prime destination for travelers. When visiting Athens, don't miss the iconic Acropolis, an ancient citadel that speaks to Greece's rich heritage. The experience of exploring the Parthenon, dedicated to the goddess Athena, is both awe-inspiring and educational. Take a stroll through the Plaka district, known for its charming streets and delightful cafes. Aside from Athens, consider taking a day trip to Delphi, once considered the center of the world in ancient Greece. The archaeological site here is surrounded by picturesque mountains and offers a unique glimpse into the spiritual and cultural life of ancient Greeks. Also, the local cuisine is a highlight of any trip. From juicy souvlaki to refreshing tzatziki, make sure to indulge in authentic dishes while mingling at local tavernas. Traveling off the beaten path can lead to hidden gems where you can truly immerse yourself in Greek culture and hospitality. Remember, every region has its own specialties, so don’t hesitate to explore local markets for unique souvenirs. Lastly, engaging with locals by learning basic Greek phrases can enhance your experience and create connections. Cheers to making unforgettable memories in Greece!
