Hey everyone! I just had to share more about my absolute favorite homemade Lychee Jasmine Iced Tea. The original post gives you a great start, but I’ve got some extra tips and tricks to make sure yours turns out perfectly every single time, and maybe even a little twist for those who love a creamier drink! First off, the secret to a truly amazing Lychee Jasmine Iced Tea is starting with quality ingredients. For the tea base, a good jasmine green tea or jasmine pearl tea works wonders. I usually steep my jasmine tea for about 3-5 minutes – you don't want it to get bitter! Let it cool completely before you start assembling your drink; nobody likes watered-down iced tea. "Add Cold Tea" is key here! Now, let's talk about those delicious lychees. While the original recipe just says "a few fresh lychees," to really get that burst of flavor, I always recommend Juicinglychees. You can do this by gently mashing them with a fork or using a small blender with a tiny splash of water. Then, strain out the pulp to get pure, sweet lychee juice. This makes a huge difference in taste and texture. If fresh lychees aren't in season, good quality canned lychees (in syrup or water) can work too, just adjust for sweetness. Remember to "Add lychee juice" to your glass for that authentic fruit punch! The butterfly pea flower is pure magic for that stunning blue color. I usually steep just a few dried butterfly pea flowers in a small amount of hot water for 5-10 minutes until I get a deep blue hue. Let it cool, and then you can layer it in your drink for that beautiful gradient effect. It adds a very subtle, earthy note that complements the jasmine beautifully. Assembling your "Lychee Jasmine Iced Tea" is like building a masterpiece! Start with your fresh lychee juice at the bottom. Then, generously "Add ICE" to your glass. Pour in your cooled jasmine tea, and finally, carefully add the butterfly pea flower infusion on top. Watch those colors swirl! For those of you who saw the "lychee jasmine milk tea" query and got curious, I've got a fun variation! Once you have your basic lychee jasmine tea, simply add a splash of your favorite milk – I love using oat milk or almond milk for a creamy, dairy-free version, but regular milk works too. Just stir it in, and you've got a delightful, softer take on this refreshing drink. It's surprisingly good! And don't forget the little touches! A fresh mint sprig or an extra lychee on the rim of your glass makes it feel extra special. If you find your drink isn't quite sweet enough for your taste (even though lychees are naturally sweet!), a tiny drizzle of agave or honey can be added, but honestly, the natural sweetness of the lychee usually does the trick. I hope these extra tips help you create an even more incredible "Lychee Jasmine Iced Tea" experience at home. It’s truly one of my favorite ways to stay refreshed, and it’s so much fun to make. Happy TEA DAY to all my fellow TEALOVERs! Let me know if you try it!
