There were things back in the States that seemed “extra” and we would never make the effort. As part of taking the leap and moving abroad, we decided that these things should no longer be work. If we wanted them to become normal, we needed to start making the effort. #moving abroad #spainlife

Maybe it’s because I don’t fully understand my new country’s holiday season? Or maybe it’s because I haven’t yet established a community? Or maybe it’s because I’m just dang tired from moving abroad? Regardless, it doesn’t feel like Christmas. Any other recent immigrants to Europe feel this way? #

One of my favorite things to do is bake. It is so rewarding to me, and such a stress reliever. So to have to leave my beloved Kitchen Aid stand mixer behind when we left the US was a serious bummer. I set to finding another one as soon as we got settled in Spain, only to be shocked at the cost! And
