Loss/ grief

So yesterday was a long exhausting day mentally and emotionally for me. And I could really use everyone’s prayers this morning for a miracle. I hate the feeling of being torn because you don’t want a loved one to suffer anymore or be miserable just to make you happy And to be honest I don’t know that we’re ever in a position where we’re truly ready for that person to go and I know you just have to let go if it’s God‘s will, but that doesn’t make it any easier. So I’m asking for prayers not just for my own selfish reasons, but for God‘s will if it be that it’s her time and she needs to go home then I’m asking for prayers for it to be peaceful and comforting, and Good for her easy for her, but I’m also asking for prayers for me and my children and my family because emotionally it will wreck us. My grandmother is the only grandmother that I have left. The only grandparent I have left. She’s always been my biggest cheerleader and my biggest support From when she was in the Bay Area to her being here. Even now her idea is to comfort everybody else and be there for everyone else and never thinking about herself. To lose something like that is gonna change my whole world. She always treated me like a daughter And was extra sensitive to my emotional needs both being Aquarius. We connected in a different way. To know that she won’t be here anymore for me to call and ask for her to call me down or pray for me on the phone means that I’m losing my rock, losing the purpose like grounds me… I know I’ll still be able to talk to her, but I won’t be able to hear her and that’s the biggest part. I was extremely close to both of my grandmother’s now. I don’t have any. I don’t know how I’m gonna be.. yesterday getting to see her and seeing her face light up as she seen me where she seen each of my children, listening to her still continue to brag about who I am and what I do is definitely something that I will hold with me forever. Getting to say I love you and you see it back means absolutely everything. Is it so hard to even write without breaking down fuck Grandma I love you for absolutely anything. Please stay over me and watch me protect me be my calmness guide me through this loss because you know you’re the greatest loss that I am going to experience at this time in my life when mentally I haven’t been me is truly gonna crush me and so I’m gonna need your spirit more than ever. So again I’m asking for prayers that if it’s God‘s will that it’s not her time as she recovers. It makes it home so I can continue to have my rock in though. I know that that sounds selfish. I’m also asking for prayers that if it’s God‘s will that it is her time that he brings her home with him and that she can continue to be my peace and help watch over me because I still need her. I wanna feel her close to me in my time of need. If you read this far, I thank you for supporting me and listening to me. It means a lot because this is truly not easy for me at all. Thank you.

... Read moreLoss and grief are profound emotional experiences that everyone encounters at some point in their lives. The journey described in the article reflects the complex feelings of sorrow, helplessness, and the struggle to reconcile hope with acceptance. When dealing with the loss or the potential loss of a loved one, many people find solace through spiritual support and prayer, which can provide comfort and a sense of peace not only for the person suffering but also for their family. The emotional toll of witnessing a loved one's health decline can be mentally exhausting, as described in the article, especially when the loved one has been a longstanding pillar of support and love, such as a grandmother. The connection shared between the author and their grandmother highlights the deep bonds that influence our sense of security and emotional well-being. Losing such a rock can feel destabilizing and overwhelming, leaving a void that takes time and support to heal. Research in psychology suggests that grieving is not a linear process but a highly individual and unique experience. It can involve stages such as denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and eventually acceptance. It's important during this time for individuals to seek support through loved ones, counseling, support groups, or spiritual communities. Expressing feelings openly, as the author does, can help reduce the emotional burden and encourage healing. The keywords from the OCR related to emergency and medical context ("stryker EMERGENCY") underscore the intense and urgent nature of the situation, emphasizing the critical state that often accompanies end-of-life experiences. Recognizing the practical and emotional challenges during emergencies is crucial to supporting patients and their families effectively. Finding ways to honor the memory of the lost loved one, holding on to cherished memories, and feeling their presence spiritually can aid in navigating the path forward. Seeking prayers, as the author requests, speaks to the universal desire for peace and comfort that transcends cultural and religious boundaries. This spiritual connection can serve as a guiding light in the darkest moments. Ultimately, coping with loss and grief is about nurturing hope, embracing love, and granting oneself permission to feel and heal gradually. The story shared encourages empathetic understanding and reminds readers of the importance of compassion, prayer, and community support in times of sorrow.
