Bountiful harvest!

Stuffed all the carrots🥕 from yesterday in a gallon sized bag. Not too bad of a harvest! Shout out to my mini-me for doing pretty much all of the work trimming the greens and ends off.💜

Pest control!

I found this little creature in my garden pulling up all of my carrots.🥕 Anybody have any ideas on how to keep this little "pest" out of my vegetables? 🤣 Miss Lilly is my mini-me. She loves to work in the garden and is equally excited about all of the homesteading plans I come up with

Grossness alert!

Pumpkin bloom!!!!!

Ya'll, I am so fricken excited right now!!!!! I planted pumpkins 🎃 just to see what they would do. This tiny guy is all alone as it was the only seed to germinate. If I miraculously get a pumpkin, I'll just let it do its thing. I see blooms starting on the butternut squash plants, too!!!

Carrot time!!!

First carrot🥕 from the garden!!! Miss Lilly marked this one and we watched it for awhile. It grew really well, but the spot it was in was crowded due to the seeds getting washed to the sides (my bad!). Very tasty!🥕

Lettuce!!!

I don't know what to do with all of this lettuce🥬. Lol!!! (Ignore the blank space, I have zinnia🌱 seeds in there). Salad, lettuce in a sandwich. What else would you use it for?

Garden growth!

What is this, you ask? Well, let me tell you what this is!!! My abudant harvest of green beans! 🤣 While all of the other plants have finally decided to bloom, this lone ranger is shining bright in the spotlight. Time to pull out the canner and jars! But for real, I am hoping to see more of these

Growing nicely... sorta.

I did not plant any Chinese Sword Lettuce... Lol! I did plant a row of spinach that bolted awhile ago, so today I pulled it all and planted some zinnias just to see what they do. The cauliflower is still overrun by aphids, but the oregano and broccoli are doing well, so I'll call that a w

I caught this cute little guy 🐛 in my cauliflower when I was looking closer at it. Pretty sure he has some friends roaming about, too. Also was able to actually see aphids, so we'll be doing some pest control in the raised beds!🐞🧼

What ate my cauliflower?!?!

Anybody have any idea what ate my cauliflower head? The broccoli is totally fine. I looked for the little inchworm moth caterpillars, aphids or anything and don't see a thing.

We have a baby broccoli!!!!!!!🥦 The raised beds are looking a bit sunburnt and weathered, but we are supposed to get some rain this weekend. I hope that helps perk them up!

Worst tea ever!!!

I think I just made the most bitter tea on the planet.🤮 I added honey to make it bearable. Truth be told, I probably made it too strong, and I included the stems out of pure laziness. We won't be doing that again! The jars are in the tea cupboard and they may just stay there forever. 🪦Lol!!!

I took my 2 youngest on a 5.5 mile hike today. We took our sweet time, and made it up to the top and back down in a little over 3 hours. Looking forward to hiking the higher mountain ⛰️ (last pic) as well this year! Nothing to really do on the funny farm today.

Keep blooming!

This small flower represents the work I've been putting in to grow my homestead into something my family can really use. This plant was grown from a seed I could barely see, nearly died thanks to a couple of wind storms, got put in the ground way later than it should have been, but has bloom
