This duology is so full of library love!
This duology has a lot to say, but one of my favorite themes is that libraries, private and public, are places of refuge and safety. These books say over and over again that libraries literally hold the knowledge that will save lives and save a society from collapse. In 2025, with our libraries under threat by the current administration, it was so meaningful to read a duology where library themes play out triumphantly.
