Roomie complains about waking her up at midnight
My roommate goes mad if I come back from a night out or even get up early for work. I totally get that she’s a light sleeper — I really do — but choosing to have roommates means accepting that shared spaces come with some noise. I’ve done everything I can: tiptoeing in, avoiding lights, using headphones… yet she still complains every single time.
We live in a busy city, not a mountain cabin. There’s traffic, sirens, people, and yes, roommates with different schedules. If she truly wants total silence, maybe a studio in the suburbs would be better for her sanity (and mine). I don’t want to feel guilty just for living my life normally.
Am I being inconsiderate, or is she expecting roommate life to be soundproof?

She can wear earplugs. It seems like she expects no type of noise at all from you which is ridiculous
