From my experience and what I've researched, it's often recommended by professionals for specific situations, like washing new piercings or during certain medical conditions. For example, many people swear by Dial Gold antibacterial soap for piercings because it helps keep the area clean and free from infection. And yes, for targeted areas like armpits, if you're dealing with excessive odor, an antibacterial soap might offer temporary relief, but it's not usually a daily necessity for your entire body. For everyday use, a gentle, moisturizing body wash like the Pamper & Indulge, which leaves my skin feeling soft and smelling amazing, is usually more than enough. Overuse of antibacterial soaps can sometimes strip your skin's natural beneficial bacteria, which isn't ideal for long-term skin health. Speaking of my Pamper & Indulge body wash, can we talk about finding those large bottles with pumps on Amazon? Seriously, what a game-changer! I used to grab the smaller 16 oz bottles from Walmart, and while they were fine, having the bigger 32 oz size with a convenient pump makes my shower routine so much easier and feels like better value. For me, knowing the difference has helped me choose the right product for the right need. I keep my Pamper & Indulge for daily pampering, and if I ever need strong antibacterial action (like for a new piercing), I'd specifically reach for the classic Dial Gold bar soap.
