Spoilers and theories

Having followed the Fourth Wing series closely, I’ve found the evolving dragon bonds a fascinating element that truly adds depth to the story. The idea that some rebels are secretly bonding dragons long associated with their families suggests a complex history that isn't immediately visible in the main narrative. One theory I resonate with is that the scribes' records have been intentionally altered, creating a mystery around the true names and origins of dragons like Glane. This kind of lore manipulation fits perfectly with the tone of secrecy and conflict permeating the series. Another compelling point is the hinted war among the dragons themselves, possibly against a venomous enemy or internal strife. It offers an intriguing layer where the dragons aren't just allies or beasts but active participants with their own agendas. This could explain why certain characters are marked and sought after, as their involvement may tip the balance in this hidden war. I also empathize deeply with the emotional tension around Garrick and his separation from the one he yearns for. The promise of unwavering loyalty adds a touching human element amidst the fantasy chaos. Sloane’s storyline struck me particularly hard, especially her connection to Liam’s dragon. The hope that she might be "the cure" and play a pivotal role in saving key characters like Xayxay introduces a new dimension of heroism and sacrifice. Overall, these theories weave a rich tapestry that enhances the reading experience. They invite us to look beyond the surface and appreciate the intricate storytelling and character development. For fans eager to unpack every secret and speculate on future twists, participating in such discussions deepens our connection to the Fourth Wing universe.
