I have gone to Florida all my life and absolutely love it! My family lived in Port St. Lucie, FL for a very long time and our favorite beach is Bathtub Beach 🏖️ It is family friendly, great location with restaurants and such. My mom and I love shells and this beach is loaded.
So I hope this helps people and makes your Florida trips better!!! #lemon8diarychallenge

... Read moreAfter years of exploring Florida's incredible coastline, I've gathered so many memories and discovered some truly special spots beyond just Bathtub Beach. While Bathtub Beach remains a family favorite for its calm waters and endless shell treasures, Florida offers a mosaic of beaches, each with its own unique charm. If you're looking for list of beaches in florida or family places to visit, I’m excited to share a few more gems that my family and I have enjoyed, especially those highlighted in some of my travel photos!
Let's dive into some of the other fantastic options. Heading south from Port St. Lucie, you'll find Dania Beach and Hollywood Beach. Dania Beach is often a bit quieter, perfect for those seeking a more relaxed vibe. It's really accessible and a great beach close to me if you're in the Fort Lauderdale area. Just a stone's throw away, Hollywood Beach offers a completely different energy with its famous boardwalk. It’s bustling, full of life, and perfect if you’re looking for a lively atmosphere, perhaps even for spring break ideas in florida that aren't too wild, still offering plenty for families during off-peak times. The Fort Lauderdale Jetties nearby are fantastic for fishing or just watching the boats go by – a great scenic spot for pictures!
Moving up the atlantic beaches in florida coast, Cocoa Beach is a popular choice, especially if you're into surfing or want to be near the Kennedy Space Center. It's a classic Florida beach town, often buzzing with visitors but still manages to feel laid-back. My family loves how active it can be there, from boogie boarding to just soaking up the sun. Further north, Juno Beach offers a more serene experience. The Juno Beach Pier is iconic, and it's a wonderful place for a peaceful stroll or some fishing. It’s one of those free beach near me options that doesn’t disappoint, offering lovely views and usually less crowded shores than its southern neighbors.
When planning your Florida beach adventure, especially if you're thinking about spring break beaches in florida, consider what kind of experience you're after. For calm, family-friendly waters and amazing shell hunting, Bathtub Beach is a winner. For a vibrant scene with dining and entertainment, Hollywood Beach is fantastic. If you're comparing places, compare dania beach to other nearby beaches like Hollywood, and you'll find Dania offers a slightly more secluded feel without being isolated. Some beaches even offer free parking, which is always a bonus!
And for those wondering about the best beaches in florida keys, while my main focus here is the Atlantic coast, a trip down to the Keys promises crystal-clear waters and unique island vibes, but that's a whole adventure for another time! Always check the specific beach's amenities – many offer restrooms, picnic areas, and sometimes even complimentary parking. Pack plenty of sunscreen, water, and maybe even a small cooler with snacks. Knowing what to expect, whether it’s a quiet day collecting shells or an energetic afternoon by a pier, makes all the difference. Happy beach hopping!
