When I first planned my trip to Florida's Panhandle, everyone kept telling me I had to visit Seaside. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint! Located right on the stunning Scenic Highway 30A, this town is truly a special place that deserves a spot on your travel bucket list. What immediately struck me were the vibrant, pastel-colored beach houses, each with its own unique charm, lining the perfectly walkable streets. It's like stepping into a postcard, a masterclass in community design. One of the biggest draws, and something I quickly discovered during my visit, is what Seaside is known for: its iconic architecture and its role as the film location for 'The Truman Show.' Walking through the town, you can almost imagine Jim Carrey cycling by! Beyond its cinematic fame, Seaside offers some of the most breathtaking beaches I've ever seen. The water is incredibly clear, and the sand feels like powdered sugar – truly white sand beaches that invite you to relax and soak up the sun. Whether you're building sandcastles with kids or simply enjoying a quiet stroll, the beaches here are pristine and absolutely beautiful. But Seaside isn't just about pretty houses and stunning shorelines. The culinary scene, especially around the permanently placed food trucks at Airstream Row, is fantastic! I loved the variety, from gourmet grilled cheese to fresh seafood tacos, offering perfect quick bites for a day of exploring. And it's not all casual; there are also great dine-in options. Beyond food, I found delightful shops, including the charming Post Office and a fantastic record and bookstore. It truly offers a unique blend of small-town charm with modern amenities. For anyone wondering where exactly Seaside Beach is, it's nestled right on the coast of the Panhandle, making it incredibly accessible. What's even better is its proximity to other beautiful 30A towns. I found myself just 5 minutes away from the striking white architecture of Alys Beach and a mere 10 minutes from the European-inspired Rosemary Beach. This makes Seaside an ideal base for exploring the wider 30A area. Driving along 30A is an experience in itself, and it's so worth it to check out these neighboring gems, all within a short, scenic drive from each other. It truly makes for an unforgettable travel adventure. Add Seaside, Florida, to your itinerary – you won't regret experiencing this unique slice of paradise!
