I regret not reading this sooner!
You ever finish a book and immediately think “Why did I wait so long to read this???” That was me with these books. Whether it was the hype, my bad reading choices, or just pure stubbornness, I *avoided* them for way too long… and now? Regret. So much regret. These books deserved my attention YE

things I did when I first started reading
things I did when I first started reading and reviewing books that I will never do again 1️⃣ buying a bunch of books WITHOUT reading the back. simply went off vibes and called it good. to be fair they were all thrillers, so basically you know what you get HAHA 2️⃣ refusing to try other genres

but I think it’s a fantasy series worth reading
how many of you guessed the series before i revealed it? the poppy war is a grimdark military fantasy series, and it has a lot of disturbing elements. it doesn’t shy away from the realities and horrors of war, so if you find that content upsetting i would not recommend picking up these books.

I have recently for the first time ever started listening to music while I read, and it’s made me able to focus SO MUCH MORE. I always used to think I was the type that needed complete silence to focus on a book, but I realized total silence = too many thoughts floating around in my head = far

Ways you can start reading your Bible!
I know it can be hard to understand the Bible. And I know it can be hard to WANT to. But setting yourself up for success is key! Spending time in His word everyday is truly life changing. I used to just read once in a while or just the verse of the day.. but the Lord wants us to dive right in.

When someone asks “What are you reading?” But.…
Okay, so I was asked what I'm reading today, and honestly, I wasn't quite sure how to answer. 😅 Like, how do you casually explain that you're currently deep in the world of *checks notes* cannibalism, existential dread, and some seriously disturbing psychological horror? 🙈 I'm k
