Why was day 2 of school so much harder to get up 😳 (I feel like a walking zombie this morning) 😂 #morningroutine #schooldays #dailyroutine #ditl
Starting the second day of school often feels much harder than the first, and I've found that this is a common experience for many students. On day one, the excitement and adrenaline can help you push through the tiredness, but by day two, reality sets in and your body starts to crave its usual sleep pattern, making early mornings feel like a battle. To combat this, I've started to spend the morning intentionally preparing myself before school — something I like to call a mindful morning routine. This involves setting the alarm a bit earlier to allow time for light stretching, a bit of hydration, and maybe some calming music or a few minutes of mindfulness. These small actions help me transition from feeling like a walking zombie to gradually waking my body and mind. Another tip that has worked well is to organize everything I need for school the night before, so the morning isn’t stressful trying to find supplies or clothes. This reduces the chances of rushing and feeling overwhelmed. Additionally, spending a few minutes reflecting on how I want my day to go or setting small goals helps shift focus from the discomfort of waking up to something positive and motivating. If you’re struggling with day two or any morning, consider tweaking your bedtime and morning routine to include activities that help your body adjust naturally, like exposure to natural light right after waking up and avoiding screens before sleep. These subtle changes have made a noticeable difference in how refreshed and alert I feel by the second morning of school.
