During check-in, you will add them via wechat and all communications can be done there (they are v responsive). We were also given the option to choose 1 out of 3 fragrances for the room. It only lasts a day and is quite subtle, which we appreciated since we are not big fans of scents.
If you want to order delivery, you can get a china number from the hotel staff. Food will be delivered to your doorstep via a robot - super convenient.

Cons
• If you are someone looking for nice views then this hotel may not be for you. It is a relatively low-rise building so the highest floor is level 6. We don't mind the view as we love the modern japandi interior of the hotel!
• No smart TV so no watching of netflix etc.
• Soundproofing not done very well!
• Even though walking to the bund takes you around 5 min, the hotel is about a 10 min walk from the train station. It can be quite a fair bit of walk though the path is spacious.. also, no shelters when it rains! There is a bus stop right outside the hotel though.
Overall, we do enjoy our stay here. The hotel staff are very attentive and welcoming! The modern japandi interior is really peaceful and relaxing. Will recommend 7.8/10!
... Read moreDuring my recent stay at SAVHE Hotel North Bund Shanghai, I truly appreciated the blend of modern japandi design and attentive service that made my visit comfortable and memorable. One of the highlights was how the staff added me on WeChat right at check-in, making communication seamless throughout my stay. This digital connection meant I could easily ask questions or request assistance without waiting.
I was intrigued by the option to select a subtle fragrance for my room from three choices. As someone sensitive to strong scents, this thoughtful touch enhanced my room experience without being overpowering. Additionally, the hotel’s innovative use of robot delivery for food orders is a standout convenience—especially when wanting to enjoy a meal in my room without delays.
Although the hotel is relatively low-rise with the top floor being only level 6, I found that the interiors compensate well with minimalist japandi aesthetics that emphasize tranquility and simplicity. If you don’t prioritize panoramic city views, this style creates a peaceful environment perfect for relaxation.
For fitness lovers, the 24/7 gym equipped with complimentary mineral water and bananas was a nice surprise. It supported maintaining my routine even while traveling. Food options beyond the breakfast buffet included afternoon snacks and supper, with the bonus of live music and complimentary wine on weekend evenings, adding a lively ambiance to dining.
On the downside, the hotel lacks a smart TV, so streaming platforms like Netflix aren’t accessible in rooms. Soundproofing could be better, as some noise from adjacent areas was noticeable occasionally. The hotel’s location is convenient—just a 5-minute walk to The Bund and close to a bus stop—but it is about a 10-minute walk from the train station, with no shelter along the way, which might be challenging in bad weather.
Overall, my experience at SAVHE Hotel North Bund Shanghai was positive, combining personal touches, modern comfort, and easy access to iconic Shanghai attractions. For travelers valuing service and ambiance over city views, this hotel comes highly recommended.
