shanghai photo spots to save for your next trip 📸

... Read moreShanghai is a city that truly offers endless opportunities for photography lovers. During my recent trip, I was amazed by how every neighborhood presented a unique backdrop perfect for capturing memorable moments. One of my favorite spots was Wukang Road — the way the sun hits the street creates an incredible lighting effect, but be sure to watch for traffic while photographing here! Another hidden gem was the charming cafes along Yongkang Road, where crossing the street with the local vibe in the background made for some natural and lively shots. I especially enjoyed Bitter Donkey, a minimalist two-story cafe where friends can take photos from the steps above to get a great angle. For history and architectural enthusiasts, the Rockbund area is a must-visit. It’s full of colonial buildings and beautiful brick walls that add character to any photo. Though busy, the night shots of The Bund are iconic — it’s worth braving the crowd to capture the spectacular skyline and waterfront imagery. On quieter days, I loved photographing inside Hare Artis, a cafe with pretty interiors and quaint knickknacks which add a cozy feel to your photos. And at Cafe Folder, sitting outside along the street while enjoying delicious bakes gave me the perfect aesthetic for lifestyle shots. Finally, Rei Cafe offers not only tasty drinks but also a view walking down to the bridge that complements your photos brilliantly. Overall, these Shanghai photo spots helped me fill up my phone storage quickly with a diversity of images — from sunlit streets and minimalistic cafes to historic backdrops and bustling nightscapes. If you’re planning a trip, these locations will surely inspire your photography and help you capture the vibrant essence of the city.

The Bund, Shanghai ✨
I managed to catch the light-up from two spots — The Bund itself and Binjiang River. The first time, I waited for almost an hour because I got the timing wrong 😅 Haha, recommend checking the timing on xhs because it’s way more accurate! Ngl, it was 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 🤩 #China #Shanghai #Travel
