Wellness Apps I Use Daily

Wellness Apps I Use Daily

I am 9 months pregnant and trying to get by day to day can be a lot. Sometimes i let things pile up and get ahead of me and i struggle with daily tasks and taking care of myself without simply bed rotting. These apps have helped me promote my quality of life without additional stress.

🐣: Quabble

• Quabble is a mental health app with several types of mental workouts to help you such as journaling, meditation, and anonymous venting forums. It features a duck living in a pond and as you take care of yourself through those work outs, you then earn food and points to tale care of the duck and decorate the pond.

🧹: Sweepy

• Sweepy is a household chore tracker that gives you daily tasks for each room of your house to complete based off of your time availability. As you complete rooms it’ll give you a score of how clean each room is and points to decorate your virtual room. You can also add members to the house and compete amongst eachother for points by cleaning.

🧴: Lovi

• I used Lovi to build an entire skincare routine morning, night, and weekly based off of a scan of my face and answering questions to fit the products to my needs. It tells you how to apply it, in what order, and its qualities. Also allows you to scan preexisting products and tells you how much of a fit they are for you.

🥑: Avocation

• This is my habit tracker app to keep me accountable and on top of my daily and weekly tasks. As you complete tasks you grow a plant which gives incentive to complete each task.

🍏: NetDiary

• I use this to count calories and get meal recommendations. It can scan food or manually log food to keep track of your eating habits to ensure you are eating enough calories, or not over eating. It also tells you the quality grade of the food youre eating.

🧘‍♀️: Bend

• This app has designed stretch routines to target areas of need as well as just daily routines to keep mobility. It also offers an AI feature to type in your needs and it will create a routine based off of what you tell it.

... Read moreIt's so easy to get caught up in the endless to-do lists and future worries, especially when life throws big changes your way, like expecting a baby! I often found myself feeling overwhelmed, constantly thinking about the next task or what I 'should' be doing, rather than truly experiencing the present moment. That's where I discovered the magic of intentional living, and how certain "WELLNESS APPS I USE DAILY" became my secret weapons. The concept of 'living in the moment' isn't about ignoring responsibilities, but about managing them efficiently so you can free up mental space. For me, this meant finding tools that could handle the background noise of life. For instance, apps like Quabble, which supports mental well-being through journaling and meditation, create dedicated time for reflection. When I take a few minutes to journal, I'm fully present with my thoughts, processing emotions rather than letting them build up and distract me later. This mental clarity is crucial for feeling grounded. Then there are the organizing apps. Sweepy, my household chore tracker, might seem counter-intuitive for living in the moment, but hear me out! By breaking down chores into manageable daily tasks, it prevents that looming feeling of an endlessly messy house. When I know exactly what needs to be done, I can tackle it without mental resistance, and then truly relax afterward. Similarly, Avocation, my habit tracker, helps me stay on top of personal goals. Seeing that virtual plant grow is a constant, gentle reminder of my progress, which allows me to celebrate small wins and not get stuck in a cycle of self-criticism. Health and self-care apps like Lovi, for skincare, NetDiary, for nutrition, and Bend, for stretching, also play a huge role. By providing structured routines and insights, they help me take care of my body without constant decision-making fatigue. Knowing I've nourished my body and moved it, even for a few minutes, brings a deep sense of accomplishment and allows me to focus on other things without guilt or worry about my well-being. Beyond these fantastic "wellness apps," I've learned that truly 'living in the moment' also involves conscious effort. I try to incorporate small mindfulness practices throughout my day. This could be as simple as taking three deep breaths before I open an email, or fully engaging my senses when I have a cup of tea – noticing the warmth of the mug, the aroma, and the taste. When I’m spending time with loved ones, I try to put my phone away and give them my full attention. It's about being actively present in whatever I'm doing, whether it's a mundane task or a joyful interaction. Another helpful strategy is setting digital boundaries. It’s tempting to scroll endlessly, but that often pulls me away from the present. Scheduling specific times to check messages or social media helps me reclaim my focus. I’ve also found immense value in starting and ending my day with gratitude. Taking a moment to appreciate something small – the sunshine, a comfortable chair, a kind word – shifts my perspective and helps me focus on the good in the now. It's an ongoing journey, but by combining practical tools like the "wellness apps" I mentioned with conscious mindfulness practices, I've found a greater sense of calm and presence. It's about creating a lifestyle where you're not just getting through the day, but truly experiencing it.
