Changeā”
Change is usually good for me but it can be so hard to take that first step. I can be a ruminator and perseverator, especially over the unknowns and the "what-if's". I tend to put an undue amount of pressure on the outcomes and can find myself hesitating.
I needed to get the ball of change rolling again and get familiar with how that feels to come out on the other side LOVING the outcome. This weekend, I took a leap and changed up my hair color. This can be very fun or very traumatic. I've been stuck in a rut thinking some pretty harsh things about myself and the pace I am currently moving at.
I decided to give myself a boost and take a chance on a new hair color. Something fun. Something unconventional. Something me, but MORE, so i died my hair pink. I Love it. I feel bright, happy and most of all FUN. Working so hard to build and grow right now has kept me in focus and driven, but I was definitely missing something. FUN.
Creativity flows better in the space of FUN. Relationships flourish when there is authentic FUN. Children grow and learn when it is playful and FUN. Deep wounds find healing and relief with laughter and FUN.
This weekend I kickstarted my energy with a bit of hair fun. What are YOU doing to find a little fun each day and how does it FEEL for you to allow it?

Taking the first step toward change can indeed feel daunting, especially when we are prone to overthinking the "what-ifs" and outcomes. From my own experience, Iāve found that small, playful changesālike experimenting with a new hair colorācan significantly lift my mood and spark fresh energy. When I dyed my hair pink, it wasnāt just about the physical makeover; it was a symbolic act of embracing fun and stepping out of my comfort zone. This vibrant shift reminded me how essential fun is in our livesānot just as a luxury, but as a vital ingredient for emotional healing and productivity. Fun nurtures creativity by freeing the mind from rigid patterns, allowing new ideas to flourish. It also strengthens relationships, as joyful interactions build deeper connections and resilience. Incorporating moments of playfulness or lightheartedness into each day can transform the nervous systemās response to stress, promoting balance and recovery. For example, listening to uplifting music, dancing around the room, or laughing with friends can recalibrate your energy and support emotional wellbeing. Additionally, fun creates space for self-discovery and healing. When we allow ourselves to experience joy authentically, we invite healing through joy to permeate deeper wounds. This is especially true when fun is combined with creativity, as seen in activities like crafting, painting, or even changing your hair colorāa simple act that can symbolize profound personal growth. I encourage everyone to identify what fun looks like for them and to make space for it regularly. Whether itās a bold new hairstyle, a playful hobby, or spontaneous laughter, embracing change in fun ways can help you reconnect with your true self and enhance your journey toward holistic wellbeing.
