When my finals are done….

Here are the top things I’m looking forward to as my fall semester comes to a close!

~ ACTUALLY enjoying the holiday seasonšŸŽšŸŽ„

I always grew up starting to celebrate Christmas at the beginning to middle of November, it’s definitely hard to be able to participate in Christmas festivities and enjoy Thanksgiving when I know I have a ton of work that I need to do.

~ Working consistently!

No, working isn’t fun however, I do enjoy having a consistent schedule and having a little bit of extra money that I can use to go spend time with friends that are home for break.

~ Less driving šŸš—

I’m a commuter so a lot of my time during the week is spent in a car by myself. I look forward to being around my friends more and spending less time by myself driving on very busy highways just to get to class.

~ Going to bed at a decent time😓

When classes are in session, I did not get very good sleep as I’m staying up much later working on assignments and getting things ready for my busy days. Break gives me a time to fix my sleep schedule and take some time to care for myself in my own needs.

What are you guys looking forward too???

... Read moreAs students approach the end of the semester, the anticipation of a much-needed break from exams and assignments grows. With finals coming to a close, many look forward to enjoying the holiday season, a time filled with celebration and relaxation. Notably, embracing the festive spirit can alleviate stress and allow for cherished moments with family and friends. It's essential to strike a balance between academic responsibilities and personal well-being, especially as holiday festivities can sometimes feel overwhelming with the demands of coursework. Additionally, many students experience a sense of relief from their daily routines, particularly if they are commuters. The extra free time during breaks enables them to recharge and engage with their social circles, which can be significantly limited during busy academic weeks. Maintaining a healthy sleep schedule post-finals is also crucial. Without the burden of late-night study sessions, students can finally prioritize self-care, fostering both physical and mental health. This transitional period from hectic schedules to a more relaxed state not only enhances overall well-being but also prepares students for the upcoming semester. Engaging in meaningful activities, enjoying home-cooked meals, and spending quality time with loved ones can help rejuvenate one's mind and spirit before diving into new academic challenges. Reflecting on these personal experiences and sharing excitement for the break fosters community and connection among peers in similar situations, reinforcing the importance of self-care during busy times.
