This one was my favorite to do. Curate your space. A friend laughed at me when I said I was going to do this, but I just smiled and continued on.

Why? Because I knew I deserved to feel safe, and joyful when I came home.

It didn’t happen overnight. In fact, I spent 6 months renting a room from my besties and sleeping on a mattress on the floor.

But even then I decided to decorate that space to help soothe myself after a long day.

Divorce is hard. There are a lot of emotions and stressors that come along with it. It can be a major life upheaval. Do yourself a favor and give yourself somewhere safe and soothing to land.
