GRWM 14 weeks pregnant 🩵
Okay, so let's get ready! Being 14 weeks pregnant is such an interesting stage. The first trimester nausea is hopefully starting to ease up for many of us, but hello fatigue! My body is definitely changing, and while the bump isn't huge yet, it's certainly there, making some of my usual clothes feel a bit snug. So today, it’s all about dressing the bump comfortably and stylishly. My morning routine looks a little different these days. I try to take it a bit slower, maybe enjoy a quiet cup of decaf tea before diving into anything. Hydration is key, so I always start with a big glass of water. For my skin, I've really simplified things – gentle cleanser, a good hydrating serum, and SPF, always. Pregnancy glow is real, but so are hormonal breakouts sometimes, right? So keeping it simple and pregnancy-safe is my mantra. Now, for the outfit! At 14 weeks pregnant, I'm finding that my non-maternity clothes are becoming hit-or-miss. Some days they fit, some days they just don't feel right. My go-to strategy right now is mixing and matching. I'm not ready to invest heavily in a full maternity wardrobe, but I'm looking for pieces that offer flexibility. Think stretchy fabrics, empire waistlines, and anything with a bit of give. Today, I'm opting for a soft, ribbed knit dress. It's not specifically maternity, but the fabric is incredibly forgiving and stretches beautifully over my growing belly. I love that it hugs just enough to show off the start of my bump without feeling restrictive. I pair it with some comfortable, supportive sneakers – because swollen feet can be a thing, even this early! For an extra layer, especially as the weather cools, a longline cardigan is perfect. It adds a touch of style and warmth without adding bulk. Accessories are minimal for me these days; maybe some small hoop earrings and my favorite simple necklace. What I've learned about dressing the bump in these early stages is that comfort is paramount. Don't force yourself into clothes that pinch or feel uncomfortable. It’s okay to embrace looser fits or invest in a few key maternity basics like leggings or a good pair of jeans designed for pregnancy. Belly bands can also be a lifesaver for extending the life of your pre-pregnancy pants! Beyond the clothes, it's also about how I feel. These 14 weeks pregnant have brought a mix of emotions – excitement, a little anxiety, and a lot of wonder. Taking a few moments for myself each morning, even just to choose an outfit that makes me feel good, helps set a positive tone for the day. It’s about celebrating this incredible journey and feeling confident in my changing body. So, that's my GRWM for today – embracing the bump, one comfortable and cute outfit at a time!
