Shepards Pie

Who loves Shepard’s pie?? My 10 year old does! This is a classic that never goes out of style!!

Chop 1 yellow onion and cook in a skillet with 1-2 T olive oil

Add 1 lb lean ground beef and season with salt and pepper

add 1 t of parsley, thyme and rosemary. Add 1 T Worcestershire sauce to skillet. Stir in 1 cup beef broth, 2 T flour, a garlic clove, and 2-3 T tomato paste. Add 1 cup frozen (or canned) peas & carrots. Mix all i gradients in skillet on low/medium.

Cook 2-3 russet potatoes (or use pre-made mashed pototoes). Whip with 1/2 to 1 stick butter, 1/4 cup half and half, salt, pepper, and 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese. Place all ingredients in an oven dish and spoon mashed potatoes on top.

Bake at 400 degrees for 20-30 minutes
