Mamas you CAN do this too💪🏽I wish every mom could feel the feeling I get when I lift. I can’t explain to you how much lifting has improved my pregnancy & postpartum experience in so many ways than just physical but more mental!
I’ve been lifting for 18yrs now and I can say that fitness has helped me deal with trials in every stage of my life. Yes I stil have my bad days just like everyone else but fitness has been something I need in my life. It has given me so much lessons that taught me how to deal with tribulations in my life. A broken heart, anxiety, anger issues, rage, depression, hurt, the list goes on and on.
I just want women to know you can do this too just get up and start where you are. Start slow and it will blossom from there❤️🩹🫶🏽💪🏽

Lifting weights during pregnancy and postpartum isn’t just about staying physically fit; it offers significant mental health benefits as well. I can personally attest to how strength training became a cornerstone for managing the ups and downs of motherhood. When I first started lifting, I focused on lighter weights—like 135lbs on the Cybex machine—and gradually increased my load as my confidence and strength grew. This progression kept me motivated and helped me feel in control even on tough days. One of the best parts of lifting is the empowering feeling it fosters. It taught me patience and resilience, which translated into how I handled life’s emotional challenges like anxiety, anger, and depression. Fitness became a safe space where I could channel stress and come out stronger, both mentally and physically. For any mom starting out, my advice is simple: begin where you are, don’t rush, and celebrate every little milestone. The community around fitness—like the #fitnesstiktok and #fitmomsoftiktok groups—can also offer great support and inspiration. Integrating lifting into your routine during and after pregnancy can improve posture, reduce back pain, and enhance energy levels, which are often compromised during these times. Beyond physical benefits, it offers a valuable mental break from daily worries and helps establish a positive mindset. This holistic benefit makes lifting a powerful tool for overall wellness that extends well beyond the gym. If you’re contemplating fitness during motherhood, know that the journey is deeply rewarding and completely doable. Start slow, listen to your body, and watch how lifting transforms your life.
