When no one cheers for you, cheer & encourage yourself👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 You can do anything you put your mind to mamas! LFG!!
34wks postpartum & proud of myself🤭🥹🥲
Navigating fitness after childbirth can be a challenging yet rewarding journey, especially when you're pushing your limits like I did reaching 205lbs in Romanian Deadlifts at 34 weeks postpartum. I remember the moments before the lift—doubting if it was too heavy, questioning if it was safe, and constantly talking myself into giving it a try. The mental dialogue was just as intense as the physical effort. One key takeaway from my experience is the importance of listening to your body while also trusting in your capability to grow stronger. Postpartum bodies vary widely, so I tailored my training by gradually increasing weights and paying attention to any discomfort signals. Celebrating small wins, like adding 10lbs to my lifting weight or simply completing a set with proper form, kept me motivated. It’s crucial to cheer for yourself when external validation isn’t always present. Self-encouragement became my fuel as a mom getting back into fitness—reminding myself daily, 'You can do anything you put your mind to!' Also, having a clear goal helped me stay focused. Whether it was reclaiming strength, improving muscle tone, or simply proving to myself what was possible, this personal record was a milestone marking progress beyond just numbers. For other moms on a similar path, I encourage being patient, consistent, and kind to yourself. This journey isn’t about rushing but celebrating every step forward. Remember, strength training postpartum can be empowering, safe, and transformational when done mindfully and with proper guidance.
