I’m the normal decent human being that cleans this shit up on top of cleaning up after myself in the gym. But today I’m effing over it and I ain’t putting someone else’ shit away. I’m so done. Parents we need to do better cause I don’t want the up coming generation to be PIGS!!!!🤦🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤬👊🏽
From personal experience, I've noticed that when kids aren't taught to clean up after themselves early on, it sets a precedent for their adult behavior. The image text, "When you don't teach your kids to clean up after themselves they turn into disgusting adults...", perfectly sums up the frustration many feel. In the gym environment, this becomes especially apparent—after all, everyone wants a clean and respectful shared space. Parents play a vital role in instilling habits of cleanliness and responsibility. It can feel overwhelming at times, especially when managing busy schedules and countless other duties. However, setting clear rules and modeling good cleaning habits can make a significant difference. For example, involving children in simple tasks like putting weights back or wiping down equipment teaches respect not just in the gym but in all shared spaces. Moreover, teaching these habits fosters independence and self-discipline, qualities that benefit them throughout life. If kids learn early that their actions impact others, they develop empathy and accountability. Ultimately, to avoid the frustration of cleaning up after others—as expressed in the original post—we need to commit to better education and example-setting at home. This ensures that the coming generations won't be what the author dreads: careless "pigs." Instead, they can be considerate adults who value cleanliness and respect in every environment they enter.
